Born July 12 1968, Vinay Pathak is an Indian theatre and film actor. After completing his education in India, he moved to the United States for higher studies. While studying at State University of New York, Pathak got several acting roles in notable comedies such as, Khosla Ka Ghosla and Bheja Fry. Then in 1999, he played the role of Vinny in the television series Hip Hip Hurray. After that, he went on to anchor the show OYE along with his good friend Ranvir Shorey. Together they hosted the talk show Ranvir Viney Aur Kaun?. Additionally, they hosted House Arrest, Duniya Gol Hai as well as Cricket Crazy. Then, Pathak starred in a minor role as inspector Gurpal Badash in the movie Murder Unveiled, which featured the Sikh community in Canada. He also acted in several hit films such as Johnny Gadaar, Aaja Nachle, Khoya Khoya Chand, and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.
