Today’s RJ’s Specials is the retro classical hit song from the 1990’s, ‘Sochna Kya Jo Bhi Hoga Dekha Jayega’ by the famed artists Asha Bhosle, Kumar Sanu and Shabbir Kumar. This track is one of the most popular and well known songs from the 1990’s and is known by one and all. The track was from the film ‘Ghayal’ which was released in 1990 and was a super hit featuring the famous actor, Sunny Deol. The music for the track was by Bappi Lahiri and the lyricist for this number was Indeevar. The track was loved by one and all for the uplifting message it gives across, and the funky type tune compliments the message in a spectacular fashion.

9 December 2020: Bachna Ae Haseeno by Kishore Kumar

We are back after a short break with the RJ’s Special for today, a classical bollywood hit, the one and only ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ by Kishore Kumar. While we are all guilty of dancing to this tune (some exceptions noted), very few of us actually know much about this amazing classical number. The track was sung by Kishore Kumar, was produced by R.D. Burman and was part of the popular album ‘Hum Kisise Kum Naheen’. The track was released in the year, 1977 and was an instant hit. It was so popular that to this day you can hear this song playing in parties and it is a must in everyone’s playlists. This track has also been one of the most popular tracks on our station, garnering a ton of popularity. The track was so popular that about 30 years after the track’s release, the famous filmmaker Yash Chopra even decided to make a movie bagging the same name, which was also greeted with much popularity.

We are officially back after a quick break with another hit track for y’all. Today’s RJ’s Specials is the super romantic track, ‘Dil Diyan Gallan’, by Atif Aslam. This popular number featured in the film and album by the same name, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, and was produced by Vishal Shekhar. The track, just like the movie, was an instant hit as soon as it was launched in December of 2017, and made the rounds among the top charts well into the summer of 2018. The movie, which featured Salman Khan alongside Katrina Kaif as the lead actors and was the sequel to the film ‘Tiger’ also received much praise. This track is a romantic one and also has a bit of an upbeat feel to it, which is needless to say, one of the reasons why this track has consistently received so much love by the listeners of our station.

Today’s RJ’s Special is the hit track from the movie Qurbani, which was released in the year 1980. This popular number was sung by Nazia Hassan and featured as the soundtrack of the original motion picture, Qurbani. Since it’s release almost four decades ago, the track has been loved by one and all who have had the privilege of listening to the melodious voice of Nazia Hassan. One thing you’ll notice while listening to this hit track is the almost echo like effect which gives an almost shout-like outcome to Nazia Hassan’s voice. This feature is definitely and probably the reason why everyone seems to love it so much, even four decades later! Since the launch of our station we have played the song on a number of occasions and have always found this track to be among the top numbers on our station and so it’s feature on the daily RJ’s Specials sooner or later was imminent.
